About Raa Atoll: art, wellbeing and coral-stone history
Raa Atoll, north of Baa, is home to some of the most original resorts in the country. JOALI Maldives on Muravandhoo fills its island with art, its sister JOALI BEING on Bodufushi is built entirely around wellbeing, and the adults-only You & Me has H2O, an undersea restaurant by Andrea Berton. History lives on too: the Friday Mosque on Meedhoo, from around 1705, is one of six coral-stone mosques on UNESCO’s Tentative List. Euro-Divers runs dive centres at Alila Kothaifaru and Niva Dhigali.
