About Housing Development Corporation (HDC)
HDC is the state-owned corporation that master-plans the Greater Malé region, including Hulhumalé, a smart city on reclaimed land, the industrial hub of Thilafushi and the Rasmalé eco-city. Its website does not say what foreigners may buy, so ask HDC directly. Customer care is at Centro Mall, Hulhumalé 1, and Vinares 6B, Hulhumalé 2, Sunday to Thursday, 9am to 2pm.
