About Fenfushi Friday Mosque
UNESCO’s Tentative List calls Fenfushi’s Friday Mosque one of the finest examples of a coral-stone mosque, with all its parts in good condition: the mosque, a unique coral-stone bathing tank, wells, a sundial and a large cemetery of finely carved tombstones. It was built between 1692 and 1701 on the site of an earlier mosque and is still in use.
