About Gan International Airport
Gan International Airport began as a Royal Air Force staging post in the 1950s and was handed to the Maldivian government in 1976. Today Maldivian runs several daily flights between Malé and Addu, seaplanes and domestic flights connect onward, and SriLankan Airlines flies to Colombo. Equator Village is five minutes away.
