About Kaagé
Kaagé is one of the few resort restaurants built entirely around Maldivian cooking. The setting is a traditional-style Maldivian house with an airy dining room and two courtyards, and the menu takes skipjack tuna, coconut, chilli, yams and island fruit and gives them a contemporary finish. The resort has also launched a Kaagé cookbook, given to guests who join its private Maldivian cooking classes. VARU is 45 minutes from Malé by speedboat. (Details from Visit Maldives.)
