About Lhaviyani Atoll: quiet reefs and turtle rescue

Lhaviyani is known for remote, untouched reefs, and for some of the finest beaches in the country at Six Senses Kanuhura, 40 minutes by seaplane. Hurawalhi has the all-glass 5.8 undersea restaurant, and its sister Kudadoo is a private island of 15 overwater residences. Prodivers runs dive centres across the atoll, and at Jawakara Islands the Olive Ridley Project treats injured sea turtles at its Sea Turtle Health Institute.

Why it's on our list

  • Untouched reefs
  • 5.8 undersea restaurant
  • Turtle hospital
