The Friday Mosque on Meedhoo, Raa Atoll, is thought to date from around 1705, the reign of Sultan Muzaffar Mohamed Imaduddin II. UNESCO’s Tentative List praises its coral workmanship and interior calligraphy, and it is still in use and well maintained.
